Lonnie has acted as an expert witness since 2017 across 50+ cases, drawing on eighteen years' experience in civil and structural engineering. His court experience includes appearances in the Supreme Court of NSW and the Supreme Court of Victoria.

Publications
A 525-page structural engineering textbook. The first edition was written by Lonnie Pack; Brian Kinnear joined for the second edition to update the concrete chapter.
The guidebook covers actions (wind, seismic, dead and live loads), steel, concrete, timber and geotechnical design, supported by worked examples and CAD details.
Second edition updated to reference the standards above.

About the Firm
Pack Engineering was founded by Lonnie Pack in 2021 in response to demand for specialised structural engineering expert witness services.
Since then the firm has delivered 100+ expert reports and taken part in 12+ conclaves and mediations, with appearances in the Supreme Courts of NSW, Victoria and WA. Our work centres on the investigation of structural failures and compliance with the relevant Australian Standards.
We work with litigation lawyers and firms — including firms such as Colin Biggers & Paisley — from offices in Sydney, Brisbane and Canberra.
